Russell H. Pressley
Russell Pressley of Traer, passed away, Friday December 4, 2020 at Country View Senior Living. He was born April 4, 1937 son of Ray and Jewel (Lois) Chilcote Pressley. He met the love of his life Marian Nixon while stationed in Lake Charles, La. They joined in marriage and had three children, Valerie, Russell and Randy.
Russell served our country honorably as a Captain in the United States Air Force. He was part of the intelligence unit and served in Vietnam. He earned his Master’s degree in Business from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He was a sheriff’s deputy for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, being given a special grant and led the DEA of Dallas County, retiring in 1992.
Survived by: a son, James R. Pressley; a daughter, Valerie (Shane) Nicola of Riverside; a daughter-in-law, Karen Pressley of Corpus Christi Tex.; seven grandchildren, Taylor (Jacob) Wyss of Cedar Rapids, Emma Nicola of Riverside, Sarah Pressley of New Orleans La., Kyle Pressley of San Antonio, Tex., Dallas Abadie of Calif., JR Pressley of Dallas, Tex., and Mirandy White of Tenn.; and four great grandchildren.
Preceded by: his parents, his wife Marion, son, Russell Pressley Jr., granddaughter, Melissa Pressley and brother, Delbert Pressley.
A special thanks to Country view for treating him like family and the great care they gave him, especially in this pandemic.

A private graveside will be held with military rites by the Air Force National Honor Guard and the Traer American Legion.
